The Prosperity Stories is our way to profile our business partners, help tell their stories, and share how they are able to live a more prosperous Life. Beyond numbers.™
Meet Brad McRae, a real estate agent, partner, and team leader with Lucido Global, Keller Williams Co-Elevation Realty in Toronto and the surrounding area.
Q What does prosperity mean to you?
Prosperity is something that I hold very closely because it is similar to a phrase that I often say to myself: life is abundant. There's an abundance of whatever you want out there. To be able to prosper is to be able to achieve what you want to achieve—whatever that means to you as there is no individual definition of success. Your definition comes from within, and being able to prosper is your own definition of success. To me, it’s about just living the life that I want to live, and being able to achieve that life.
Q Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, how have you seen the real estate industry shift?
A lot of things have been made virtual and we’ve had to adjust. Before the pandemic, there were meetings for everything—open houses, showings, etc. In the real estate industry, a lot of the nonsense got cut out. People realized that a lot of the meetings that we used to go to in-person could now be done virtually, saving time for all parties. One of the biggest themes of the shift has been pushing forward with technology and utilizing it to the fullest.
Q What advice would you give to someone who wants to open their own business?
For anyone that's starting a business, no matter what the business is, you have to have a plan. Even if you are the only person in the business, you have to plan. You need to know what your goals are and make sure that you're putting the proper systems in place to achieve those goals as quickly, or as slowly as you want to scale.
