Our Community

Empowering Dreams,
Empowering Communities

TAAG cares about community

We’re committed to giving back to the communities where we work and play. That’s why we leverage our caring team’s skills and passions, and empower them to make a difference.

Collectively, TAAG is dedicated to supporting two important causes:

Helping Small Businesses in Making a Big Impact

We support meaningful startups and visionary entrepreneurs who strive to make a positive impact on the world. Our partners are contributing to the greater social good in our communities—and we can help them achieve even more.

Eliminating Hunger in our Communities and Beyond

We’re determined to tackle the issue of food insecurity within our community, and regularly contribute to local food banks and we run a yearly fundraising campaign. TAAG welcomes opportunities to support enterprises dedicated to innovative food production and distribution practices.

Investing in our community

We believe businesses have a duty to help build vibrant communities. To work with other stakeholders and build lively downtown communities where people want to live, work and play. We invest in our community by supporting Carleton University and charitable causes, sponsoring important events and enthusiastic community involvement.

Carleton University

We’re pleased to partner with Carleton University and the athletic department through our investment in the athletic stadium and field on Bronson Avenue. The newly named TAAG Park will provide stability for the school’s varsity programs and a great experience for students, faculty and alumni, as well as the overall neighbourhood. We’re also keen to share our core values of integrity, hard work, innovation and service through valuable co-op opportunities for students that will enable them to thrive in their careers.

Capital Prosperity Foundation

TAAG is thrilled to announce our new charitable arm, Capital Prosperity Foundation (CPF).

Under the banner of CPF, we continue to support the Ottawa Network for Education (ONFE) School Breakfast Program. We also help families put food on the table and buy household necessities, basic furniture and other vital resources through our exciting new partnership with the Ottawa Police Service (OPS).

Charitable Causes

Our team is passionate about many different causes. Every year, we host a holiday food drive for the Ottawa Food Bank. We’ve always got a team in the HOPE Volleyball tournament, which raises funds for community-based charities. TAAG partners with the Ottawa Network for Education to enhance public education by helping address critical issues facing children and youth, removing barriers to learning and preparing students for post-secondary success. We are committed to the annual Ride for Dad, which raises funds for ground-breaking prostate cancer research and life-saving awareness campaigns.

Sponsorship

No child should come to school hungry. That’s why we presented the Spark Soirée, which raised more than $80,000 for Ottawa’s School Breakfast Program in 2023. The program, which runs in nearly 200 public schools, served an average of 16,000 meals to students every day. We are also proud sponsors of the RÄNDĀ VO͞O Business Network, which connects high-achieving professionals with other business leaders, entrepreneurs and public servants in the region.

Community

We give back to our community through active participation in the Bank Street Business Improvement Area (BIA) and the Ottawa Board of Trade. These activities enable us to help build a vibrant, sustainable and prosperous community, while supporting local businesses throughout all stages of their journey. As well, our Prosperity Magazine  showcases local entrepreneurs, impactful businesses and social enterprises making a difference in our community. Ottawa business owners are truly inspiring, and we’re proud to share their stories through our web and social media platforms.

We take businesses from surviving to thriving.
