How would you describe EdOriented in an elevator pitch?
EdOriented turns effort into opportunity. By rewarding everyday actions like attendance, participation, and teamwork, we help students feel recognized and motivated. Those rewards translate into real-world support - lunches, field trips, and school essentials - creating a cycle of motivation, confidence, and growth.
What made you want to pursue this fascinating venture?
The idea came from watching my son’s motivation fade as rewards and encouragement disappeared. With over 20 years in programming and systems design, I began seeing education as a system that needed change.
I realized what truly drives people isn’t grades or pressure, but acknowledgment and purpose. EdOriented grew from that belief - to empower students, ease the workload on teachers, and help families feel supported. It’s about shaping a future we may never see, but one our children will live in.
What are your expectations for the business within the next year?
We’re completing beta testing in schools this December and preparing for our national launch in January 2026. By the end of next year, our goal is to reach over 1,400 schools across Canada, improving motivation and engagement on a national scale.
How has TAAG Marketing + Design contributed to your brand?
TAAG helped us transform our message into a clear and inspiring brand. They understood our mission and gave it visual strength and emotional clarity - helping us connect with educators, parents, and partners.
Do you have any advice for new entrepreneurs?
Start with empathy and purpose. Build something that solves a real problem and stay connected to why you began. Success doesn’t come from perfection, it comes from persistence, collaboration, and believing in your vision even when others can’t see it yet.
